They are also used as a solvent and it is used for processing antibiotics, vaccines, tablets , pill and vitamins.  The Denatured Grade is used in the development of antiseptics, drugs, lotions, hand sanitizers and medical wipes. The additives used for denatured ethanol are Bitrex or Diethyl Phthalate (DEP).
